Abstract
In this study a group of college students volunteered and to do gambling addiction prevention campaign in and out of campus, which was initiated and encouraged by the National Gaming Control Commission. The students were involved in activities from March till December 2010. In order to train the students a training program was developed, called ``gambling addiction prevention leader program``. Twenty one students attended this training program, which was made up of 6 sessions, among which two sessions were sociodrama sessions. Pre and post tests were given on their cognitive change of gambling addiction and leadership; result showed a significant increase in cognitive change, whereas leadership did not show significant change; sociodrama was found the most satisfying session. Through sociodrama the students were warmed up to improvise the structured sociodrama and they created a semi-structured sociodrama which was found more empathetic for college students. This process of creation was a phenomenal manifestation of the Canon of Creativity explaining the theory of spontaneity and creativity.
